It is supposed to lasts longer, hold its shape longer, better for people that have allergies and is a sustainable product. It's great to sleep on, in my opinion

Is it round (oval?) ? Or is that just the way the package looks & it's just like a regular pillow?

It shaped like a regular pillow. After you take it out of the package it puffs up just like a normal bed pillow.
