Huge 3” to 4” blooms that are a beautiful pink. One of the best aspects of Shirley Corn Poppies is that they can be seen from a great distance, making them an excellent showstopper in your garden. The Shirley Corn Poppy grows to 2 or 2 ½’ tall and creates the most magnificent background. You can save your seeds at the end of blooming season if you would like to plant elsewhere.
I sow at different times, but for earliest blooms plant in the late fall for March blooms. Sow at different times for fall blooms. Save a few seeds this season to determine what time of the year your plants will do best.
An interesting note: the seed pods from this plant make an exceptional dried floral arrangement at the end of the blooming season. Save your seeds in the fall and you will have plenty to plant in other areas.
