Questions & Comments
Um this is my uncle who is selling this ring and i would like to buy it and it is saying some fraudulent activity has been detected. can someone explain this to me?????
Actually, I got the same warning once because I was in a building with two others who had Listia accounts. The problem is not fraudulent. The issues is that Listia cannot discern the difference between your computer ip address and the other computer being use or phone. For instance if you have two or more computers in the house all sharing one internet connection. (In my case I was in my office in a public building and so were two other people. We all use the same internet. So Listia thinks that one person is using multiple accounts. The only way to really get around it is to access Listia from a completely different house or building. So one of my co-workers would have to log in from her home if she were trying to bid on an item I had up for auction with us being in the same building. Hope that helps!
If at any point someone ( like your uncle) tries to access his account from your computer you will get the same warning, even if he originally created his account on his own computer and separate IP address. Which is kinda silly, but it prevents people from scamming credits by creating dummy accts.
