Is the screen the only ruined part of the tablet, or does the tablet malfunction?

As I stated it was WORKING right before it dropped. It's still comes on which is why you can see the tree image in it. As far as malfunctioning it's not post to see that since the INNER screen is broken

The OUTER glass is fine, but the picture where it looks Like there is a tree on it, that's the INNER display screen that cracked after my grandson dropped it.
