The chances of a child being hurt by a parent are exponentially higher than being hurt by a dog, regardless of breed (can't recall the exact numbers)- poor puppies have a bad rap! This stuffed animal can easily pass for new- I couldn't find any indications of wear on it. I only used in once, when educating a preschool class on proper "dog etiquette," :)
