If your little girl is crazy about Monster High . . but you're on a budget . . Here's What you do . . .

~~~~ Go to Goodwill or Thrift Store . ~~~~~~
.First, look through their school uniform section . .Frankie wears a skirt/pants made out of blue/green plaid pattern. (Pick up TWO . . One to wear . . the other to use as accents to the costume.+Neck Tie+Hair Bows+Etc)

Then, Add a white butterfly button up shirt,

Finally, complete the look with these tights! Pretty snazzy, Frost Colored w/ Printed images of Frankie Like Stitches. . . . .**IDEA** If they are not the right size you are looking for . . FRET NOT . . .Can easily be cut with scissors and used as finger less long sleeve gloves / arm covers . . .this is what I did!

It ABSOLUTELY Thrilled me that at least one person may benefit from this Costume Idea . . .Monster High is so very popular! HOWEVER . . .very $$$. I am scouring ad's, bargain sales, outlets, etc . . .ALL the time trying to find MONSTER HIGH items that are affordable for we parents on tight/limited incomes. I am hoping, to soon offer some actually Monster High items on Listia through my research.

I was a less privileged child growing up, and missed out on the COOL toys/stuff, and It made me feel . . .of all things . .NOT SAD....BUT GUILTY , for wanting something that I knew my mother just couldn't afford.

Therefore, it is one of my goals to provide parents/kids alternative ways to get the get the latest toys/looks/etc, and Hopefully, lesson the feeling of being left out due to their financial limitation.

Love this!! Last year I put together my girl's costumes (Daphne, Velma & Scooby Doo) They were Awesome!! This year my girls are going as Frankie, Draculaura & Clawdeen Wolf and I put all their costume together by going to the thrift store, and even found some items to use here on Listia!! My daughter has these tights!! Thanks for the great idea to use on her arms too :)

One more cute little detail to add . .
. All the MH Gals have a composition Journal notepad. Why not print an image of the corresponding monsters Composition not book . . .And use it as a patch on her shoulder or uniform? Printed imaged could easily be attached to a small piece of felt or other scrap material w dab of hot glue? Then sew or glue patch where ever! Just a thought!
