These are awesome, for teaching early world history in a fun way.

The smaller book introduces many somewhat obscure explorers, as seen in the Contents image.

I scanned through the book, and there is mention of Christians, and Muslims, if you want to be aware of that.

However, much of world history, was driven by religions of the time.

It has black and white sketch type illustrations, on some pages.

There IS writing, a large name in black marker inside the front cover of the smaller book.

The larger more colorful book, invites the reader to race around the world, to The Arctic, New York, The Amazon, The Atlantic, North Africa, as well as specific places these explorers went, Marco Polo, & Charles Darwin.

NO markings, torn or missing pages, that I can see.

However, some of the top image layer of the back cover of the larger book, is missing. The back cover is still a solid one, just the surface image layer is missing in places.

The rest of the book is fine.
