The listing, Salt Dip has ended.
I won this on here and since my grandson now lives with me I am afraid it will get broken. Its really cute. I am now working so I check my auctions when I can. I am doing all my mailing on Mondays as thats when i get paid. I communicate when I can and since Im working at least ten hours a day. it sometimes takes me a day or two to get back to you. This is a 1 3/4 inch square salt dip. No chips or cracks very pretty cut glass.
If you have never heard of salt dips before here is a brief description:
These date back to the early 1800's. Salt was placed in a master salt on a dinner table. Each place setting at the table included a small salt cellar. The master salt was passed to each individual who would place salt in the salt cellar at his or her setting. Then that individual would sprinkle the desired salt on their food. Some may have pinched the desired amount of if you came from a well to do family you probably used a silver salt spoon
