Since the design is rolled/elongated/smashed/pressed on U.S. Cents (Pennies) you can sometimes see what we call a "ghost image" of the Cent, and sometimes you will not (if the coin was rolled on a very shiny coin).

I probably don't live very far away from you. I live in Pullman, WA by WSU. My niece is in The ROTC program at WSU. She gets commissioned this spring. She will be going active duty. Will you please leave an address where a person can get some of the items. My sister works in the ROTC department and does the ordering for special occasions to give out awards.
