Personally I have shipped a few things a little heavier and it wasn't as much as your charging. One of them went to Texas and I live in Maine. Sorry just wanted you to know.

I don't know how much the one listers items weighed but I spent quite a while at the post office mailing out 2 yrds of fabric. I had to change to Priority Mail/flat rate for the best deal. It really depends upon how much the fabric weighs and not so much where it is going. I mail out approximately 30 packages a week. Parcel post is usually the least expensive; but, this last time I went flat rate and it matter where in the states I sent the packages. I also sent a 16 lb package and the least expensive was parcel post at $22. It went from the east cost to the west cost for that price. I think your shipping is fair. When you go to the post office have them check "parcel post' first. If it is less than $5.10 you are ok, if they quote you more than that I would ask them to send it 'Priority Mail/flat rate and grab the soft envelope that they have there (for free) and place your package in that. Good luck and have fun. Remember: pay pal charges a fee for collecting payments for you and you need to take that into consideration.

Three ways to save shipping $$...
#1. Having a stand-alone postage scale is a big help, and you can get postage calculations from USPS.com website by entering the zipcodes.

#2. Taking advantage of USPS free shipping supplies is a big help, too. It takes time to become familiar with the best ways to ship things.

#3. One thing I just found out is it costs a bit more to get postage with Paypal than with Stamps.com. One thing I hear frequently about a Stamps.com account is "I can't afford it". And, I can't afford not to. :-)
