My husband gathered some cattail seed heads for me so I could grow some around my pond. The heads are called the "flower". I'm always fascinated by anything the Native Americans found uses for, and am fascinated by the concept of living off the land! So I collect seeds for many different edible and medicinal plants.
Cattails love wet soil, this auction is for hundreds and hundreds of the seeds (there is no way to count them!!).
The Indians had tons of uses for the cattail, not only as an edible plant but as bedding material,etc.... You can use them in crafts too! You can google tham and there is a wealth of info online from medicinal to edibe to craft making, etc....so I'll leave it at that!
