This if for the original Xbox see the white and black buttons next to the right joystick and I don't thing it is compatible with an Xbox 360 it uses a proprietary plug instead of usb 2.0 like a 360

Since its a wireless controller for the original xbox, it needs the adapter that gets connected to the xbox console in order for the controller to work with the console. Without the adapter the controller is useless.

I will check with my son, I am not sure. I can pull it from the auction and relist it when I get the adapter for it from my son, that way no one bids
