Melissa's Scrappy Shadow Boxes Quilt Pattern
72" x 72"
By Melissa Ward

(This is a pattern I created myself using the program Pattern Jam so I am sharing it with the lucky one to bid the highest.)

Pattern is 7 pages long including fabric yardages needed, instructions on cutting, sewing is done by looking at the picture on the front of the pattern. This is a very straight forward pattern to put together once you get all the pieces cut as the directions instruct you to do.

All Listia rules apply. I only mail to verified addresses and the winner must go through the proper steps of leaving their mailing address within 7 days of the auction ending or they will be forfeiting their credits to me and I will relist immediately.

There is a program you can use online called pattern jam. You have to be familiar with designing and working with fabrics. My grandmother started me out when I was 8 years old. You can buy programs to install on your computer like Electric Quilt and Quilt Pro. I had Quilt Pro until I divorced my first husband and he did not turn over the program as ordered by the court order and I have not had the money to replace it as the programs are not cheap. My new husband and I are both disabled so I just make due without it but I sure do miss having it as it was so useful. I am hoping when our car pays off I can replace it and my husband says he will let me as long as we don't have any more bad luck come our way.

Thanks, I love this type of quilting. This is mainly what my grandmother did and it just seems like the best type of quilt to do.

Quilts are something people can treasure for the rest of their lives if they care for them properly. I have one that my grandmother made that I got after she passed away. Each of the family members got one to make it fair even though I was the only grandchild that ever took the time to learn how to quilt from her. I spent hours quilting with her and I miss those days so much. If you have a young person in your life make sure to try your best to pass down this art to them.
