FRAMED PAINTING/PRINT/ & 1902 PHOTOGRAPH, this painting was done from a photo taken on June 14th, 1902 in Plymouth, New Hampshire, my Dad said they are digging potatoes. It's kinda looks like a print that has been painted.... but if it is a print, who did they do it so long ago??? Does anyone know what this is?

I just looked at it closer and I'm not sure what it is....It's kinda looks like a print that has been painted.... but if it is a print, who did they do it so long ago??? Does anyone know what this is?

It looks like a hand-painted photograph, which was probably done in the early 1900s. It's a very cool piece!

Yes, it says it was done in 1902. My Dad got it at the farm where it was auctioned off many years ago and the owner told him it was a copy from the photo and that his GREAT/GREAT had done the painting at the time the photo was made.....,that's all I can remember...Sue

I'd venture to guess that this too is an actual photograph but it has been tinted for estetic since actual color photography was still decades in the future. Nice subject. Very cool!
