Questions & Comments
well since it doesn't take a battery couldn't it be one that has to put into a watch winding box or like you said hand wind.. Oh I would even try to mess with the face I've seen some that had been messed with and the paper under the dial doesn't hold up well.. I've heard that the faces were made to not get air or anything else into them. I've looked at some that were alot yellower and brown around the edge of the face. Yours looks good to be that old.
I have saw a watch winding box where the box moved in a way it wound watches. A man that my boyfriend does some side work for had one that the motor went out on and he wanted him to see if he could fix the box. It wasn't old though and he had a few wrist watches that were really expensive but relatively new. We looked for the part to fix his box and they sell the boxes and they were almost as cheap as the part to fix his. I thought it was interesting but looked kind of more like a display box I would of never guessed that it made the watch run or how I think had something to do with gravity or similar to that. Nice auction. I love the style.
