Well....LOOKS like this is my last set for the winter! The ground is frozen and I can't do any more digging till it warms up!!Listed over 35 other sets of 9 jade pieces that I've found here in China where I live(this is my stock photo) all pieces I found are the same size and similar in colors!!...I live in one of the oldest N.E. cities in China for the last 10 years!! Liaoyang, China in the North Eastern part of Liaoning Providence! I'm always on the hunt for old things with my metal detector and got some hits on some old Chinese coins(about 300 years old) and while I was digging found these Jade pieces with two holes drilled in them.Would make nice pieces for a necklace or bracelet!!
From my studies, they could have been used for a few different things, that I've found out in my over 10 years here...For some kind of ornament to wear(necklace, bracelet..ect...) or they use to use these pieces to make suits for the important people when they use to bury them to protect them in the after life!! Many different Jade items were buried with the dead to protect them in the after life!! Jade holds special powers here in China! Who knows!! I welcome comments!!..
