I know my photographs are not very good and I did say in the listing that the ring is faux which means fake and that it could be gold over silver there are no marks on it saying what kind of metal it is I did say that it is starting to fade which in my opinion is the same as peeling so I guess the gold is peeling off. even as bad as my photographs are I believe it does show that the ring has stones in it I hope this answers your questions
