What is on the top of the dvd player ? Is it scratched or is something smeared on it. I was just looking at the picture that shows ther top of it.

Yes....cosmetic scratches...I would say more but the "ghost" in my house must have done the scuffing up because the kids say they didn't! :)) The players functions are all fine though. Thanks for looking!

You can choose not to use Vudu. I think they have a website. I only used the BluRay function so I can't really go into detail of their services.
