I got the idea to make one of these for my older dog when I was crocheting a blanket and she was curled up beside me on the couch and kept trying to gently chew on my yarn and partially completed project. I made her one of these 'octopus' toys out of some super soft yarn I had left over from another project and she just loved it. But my puppy also loved it. She loved grabbing it by the tentacles and shaking her head like crazy! lol in fact, nth of my dogs liked the toy I made better than any I had ever paid money for! So I decided to see if I could get my hands on some squeakers and take it up a notch. Turns out, you CAN get just squeakers and I made them another toy :-) now they each have one! And so do a couple of my friends dogs lol. So far, not one dog has turned their nose up to these tenticle toys!

I really enjoy making these too, so I'm trying them out on Listia to see if more dogs will like them! They may wind up in my etsy shop if they are a hit with the pooches on here!
