I agree, received some stamps in a big bubble envelope and it came to 10.89 $ . 43.23$ is a bit rough on my pocket this time of the year -grin , thank you for your troubles - let's see what will work better .

I'd be willing ship to South Africa if we could find a fair shipping cost. It looks like the US Postal Service flat rate boxes are $13.25 for the small; but the stamps don't really fit in it - the lid won't close entirely. The next size up is the medium which is $43.23 (I think) If you want to pay for the meduim box I'll add a LOT more stamps - I have dozens that I was planning to eventually get rid of. I wouldn't want you to have to pay so much unless you were getting A LOT to make it worth your cost!

If a bubble envelope is cheaper, I'll be glad to use that instead! I agree that the meduim flat rate thing is way expensive. The US postal website had some confusing information about what envelopes- but mentioned somewhere between $13 something and $20 something. - depending on their thickness and final weight. To be absolutely sure, next time I'm out I'll just go there and weigh/measure the package and ask. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
