This is a great tasting bean, and very popular in this area. It is usually very productive. and I can many quarts each year. It does have some runners, but I never stake them and they do fine. They are one of the old varieties with strings, and I personally think these have better taste. They must be planted when soil warms a bit and no danger of frost, and watered until they germinate. Most of the beans can be found hiding underneath when time for harvest. I let them fill out some, and have a mix of green beans and shelled beans for canning. I have found it is much easier for me to do my mailings once a week, usually on Thursday. Please don't bid if this is not acceptable. Listia rules. U.S. only.
