Description

The listing, **THE NEXT MUST SEE** 1834 "Matron Head" Large Cent has ended.

All of the TRUE COLLECTORS need to check this coin out. Another MUST SEE and MUST HAVE.

This auction is for the 1834 Matron Head Large Cent (N-5) with the LARGE 8, LARGE STARS and MEDIUM LETTERS. This coin is VERY SCARCE, VERY DESIRABLE and hard to come by. Since it takes some time and real investigation on these coins to verify the size of the 8, the size of the stars and the size of the letters on the reverse, I have made sure to give you the best scans of the coin that I could possibly get. Have fun with your investigation. You will find out that with a little work doing so, it will be well worth it.

The scans above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.
I do my best to allow you to see every detail and/or every blemish that the coins I list have, so that you can make an informed and confident bid.
I am no longer accepting GIN offers for my auctions, everyone now gets a shot at bidding.
Remember that all Listia rules apply.

Now that the holidays are over with, the Post Office has been doing a better job of getting packages to their destination in a timely manner . Just let it be known that all items will be sent the next available day after end of auction, for I actually go to the Post Office and pay for the Package and Tracking in person so that you will receive your item as soon as possible. I also check all Tracking numbers daily and will keep you informed of anything that is out of the ordinary.
Thank you for your interest in my auctions and stopping by to view them.

I have pictures I've been looking at. the (2) pictures you have up on your listing are not very clear so It's difficult for me to compare, but I'll just have to go for what I think. I'm used to looking at eBay pictures which, in some cases, are state of the art. Listia pictures for the most part are not that good. Thanks anyway.

believe ma, those are the best that I could get and they do allow for you to see what is needed to verify the coin.
you do what you feel is best, I took the chance that no one would bother to look it up and see that it is truly what is claimed and it not go any where near what it is worth.

Hi Mark-Do you really feel that this is a genuine N-5 cent? Large 8 & Stars and Medium Letters? I would greatly appreciate any input you can give me because I'm bidding on this one. Thanks, MrMike48!

well, I could sit here and write down all of my places used to study this coin, get special information about how to tell the difference using the stars and send you to many sites that will show you comparisons to aid in that as well. I put this auction out that far so that you could do the same though. I have come to my conclusion and stated it in the description that only allowed me 2000 characters so I had to say it outright, but you should easily be able to find out as well. if you really wish, the best way to find out is to search "1834 large cent varieties" and there you will find the best info in telling the difference between all of them. dont rush into it if you do not think it is what i do.
