The listing, Carved Wooden Butter Press - Eagle w/ Sheild & Wheat motif has ended.

Lovely old Americana kitchenware folkart piece.
You can call it a Butter press , butter mold or butterstamp.
Handcarved from two pieces of wood with rounded handle and stained.

This may be a reproduction. I don't know for sure. I can't be certain of the age.
But in any case, it is definitely vintage & possibly antique.

From a smoke-free home.

Measures ~4 inches across and ~3/1/2 inches high.

Questions & Comments

Can shipping be possibly lowered? Parcel post has cheaper rates as well as first class and this possibly can not weight more than a pound or so.

If bids go over 1200 I will ship for free in the US.

Otherwise, I don't know for certain how much shipping (with confirmation) to the winner will be, especially to places all the way across the country. It may be more than $3.00, in which case i will pay the remainder.
I pack very securely. It will be in a box because of it's height. If you are interested in this item , which i could sell for quite a bit elsewhere, plus shipping,-- this small shipping amount should be no deterrent.

These were used to impress homemade butter with a discernible decorative mark that would be pretty and distinct. You could use it for other purposes, like clay for instance... ;)
