Ocean City 81 Casting ReelThis black plastic Ocean City 81 casting reel is a good specimen with original black line and blue handles. Considering its age with the usual scratching, wear, rust, and oxidation I would call it a 6/9. Mechanically is good as well. Athough it could use a good cleaning, it has all end caps; it cranks along the worm gear; the clicker engages and sounds strong.
This reel could be displayed or used in tandem with a vintage casting rod. Or if you want a great parts reel to back up one you already own -here it is.
