Questions & Comments
The reason snapfish codes are against listia rules is not that you yourself charge unreasonable shipping fees. but because of the fact that with these codes for free prints, or other items, do not cover the shipping from snapfish to the winner. So the winner actually ends up paying snapfish for the shipping. In order to list them here, listia requires that there be no out of pocket cost to the winner when they use it. I'm not trying to be mean or rude, just explaining the most likely reason why it this auction may have been flagged and removed.
Thank you and I don't consider your insight into this to be rude. I figured unreasonable shipping was due to me offering free shipping. I understand that Snapfish may charge a ship fee, I do not use so I do not know this. But my question is if the code is free and someone wants it and is willing to pay ths s&h why should that not be allowed then? Again thanks!
Well is this a Mcdonald code, because so far those are the only ones Ive seen to be free shipping as well? But yes what Mishie said is the Listia rules even though someone would pay the shipping. But I see where your coming from.
You're welcome. I don't know why they are not allowed (I am not affiliated with listia other than being a member like you), unless it is because people may not realize that they will have to pay shipping. I think the McDonalds codes include free shipping, but I am not sure. it should say in fine print somewhere whether shipping is included or not. If the shipping is also free, you should clearly state that in your auction description. That might help prevent it from being flagged. I used to use snapfish a lot, but their shipping charges can be outrageous. Now I only use them when I have a free shipping code.
You can contact listia with your questions and they were help you. They are great to help you with questions or problems you may have. They could also explain to you why the codes are or are not allowed. Good luck!
