The listing, Cotton Gossypium hirsutum has ended.
This is such a beautiful plant and one taken for granted. It is what our wonderful cotton clothes are made from. You may get a pink or a yellow or both because I was so excited over them I mixed the seeds never thinking....you have to pull the seed out of the actual cotton in the seed pod. When mine came up I had no clue as to what it even was; don't know where I got it. There were two sturdy stems beside each other. The leaves were pretty but unlike anything I could recognize. Then they both bloomed, one yellow, one pink. Went outside one morning and there was this huge seed pod as sown in pictures 4 & 5. Now I'm sure this didn't grow overnight, but I hadn't paid any attention. I watched these big seed pods all summer wondering what was inside them...then...they popped open...as shown in picture 5. The seeds are tucked inside the cotton.
