Its plastic, I have 3 sizes this is the Small & its approx. 10" to 12" depending on the shape you choose to put the puzzle together in, there are many different shapes, so when you're tired of the same old look disassemble & try a new look :) The photos of it lit up ~ I think there are 4 show it hanging in my living room from my firing light with the color changing bulb that I also list :) Hope I've been helpful & thanks for checking out my auction :)
