This would only be perennial in zones 9 - 10 (frost free zones); however, if treated as an annual in colder zones, seeds can be harvested and restarted the following year.
Question for you: did your leaves stay green when they were dried? Once mine were crushed, the powder was still very sweet, but green; it was a little odd.
