The listing, BEAUTIFUL 23" x 1/4" 14k "GOLD" NECKLACE has ended.

This is a beautiful gold necklace! It is a little over 23 inches long and 1/4 inch thick. It weighs 27grams. The only stamp is the one pictured that says 14K, however it is either gold plated or gold filled. The only reason I know this is because I took it to a jewelry store and tried to sell it! I should have known because I bought it for my husband 8 years ago at a flea market for $229. But thought I had just gotten a really good deal. Oh well, it is really pretty and no one except you and a jeweler can tell that it isn't solid gold.

I would have questioned it because of how big it s. Man is it a monster !! Solid gold would have this in the thousands

Well...like I said, it was 8-9 years ago and gold wasn't near as expensive then, and I thought I got a REALLY good deal at the flea market. Plus i'm blonde, lol!!! Honestly alot of people have looked at this and thought it was real, it looks real. Only a jeweler can tell it's not=) Someone offered my husband ALOT of money for it a few years ago, I guess he should have taken it. He passed away in August and I tried to give it to my son and daughters but they said it was too gawdy, that's why I took it and tried to sell it.

What you have is a counterfeit if it is marked 14KT, but it isn't. Sorry to say, it may not even be gold plated. I think it is deceptive to list how many grams it weighs if it isn't real gold.

i would get this tested!! i had one like it and it was plated.. just saying!! a jeweler can test it for free.. if you can prove its real you would get a lot of credits!! just saying!
