Harris & Co., and the genius behind the "Ivory Stamp Club of the Air," a radio show that aired in the mid-1930s. Harris was 14 when he first sold stamps. His philatelic contributions include the concept of selling stamps on approval; the active promotion of stamp collecting through booklets that focused on famous collectors, human-interest stamps, and how to identify unusual stamps (The Stamp Finder). H. E. Harris & Co. is a Boston and international institution.
