HD-DVD was a competing High Definition format that came out around the same time as Blu-Ray, but the Blu-Ray format won out and the HD-DVD format became defunct, much like Betamax tapes lost out to VHS in the 80s. They are High Definition discs just like Blu-Ray, but will not play in Blu-Ray or normal DVD players.

Please don't bid if you don't have an HD DVD player that plays these, as I will not offer any returns or credit refunds if you purchase these by mistake. With that said, these are rare discs to find and are long since out of print.
