The listing, Huge! Piece of Gorgeous Material has ended.

Up for auction is this Huge Piece of Gorgeous Material. Measures 12 feet 6 inches by 4 feet 8 inches. I think that it's a Polyester blend. My mom bought it a couple of years ago to make a skirt and top set and just never has. It has been stored in a smoke free cat free environment.
If I was better at sewing, I would try to make something out of it. It has very light lavender and pink thru it and with the Suns and flowers thru it, it's truly lovely :)

Pretty fabric. I am just stumped by the dimension of this fabric though. I have never heard of a piece of fabric being 4 feet 8inches wide. Are you sure this is not upholstery fabric? Sorry to question but I just can't imagine it

I know I thought it was unusual too. But I went to Joann Fabrics to see if I could match it up and they do have similar material just not the same pattern. It's a light weight material and stretches a little so I can't imagine making anything but clothing out of it.

Is this a stretchy knit? If so, does it stretch horizontally or both horizontally and vertically?

I have a skirt that feels like this material. I wash it in cold water on gentle cycle and hang up to dry. I did take a small piece of this to JoAnn Fabrics and matched it up to material that was Polyester. But I can't be 100% sure since I can't find this exact material anywhere and mom doesn't remember if it is Polyester or not. I've even been going thru a bunch of online material stores and haven't seen anything like it.
