Calendulas bring pollinators to your vegetable garden. Tuck them thru the garden. Add petals to salad. Makes a great salve. Attracts butterflies.
Plant ½" deep. Can take a light frost. Plant while weather is still cool. Thin to 8" apart. Color varies light to bright yellows, rust, straw colors.
Deadhead to extend bloom season, or let flowers go to seed to collect seed for next year.
Most years it will reseed in my vegetable garden, it is welcome where ever it appears.
