what is the ages on this like is it 3 and over or suitable for all ages ?

They're small, so don't give them to a toddler who would put them in his/her mouth. The child would need some strength/coordination in their hands to snap them together, so I'd recommend 5+. I have a 7 year old and she enjoys making things with them. I think that older elementary school children would enjoy them a lot because you can be creative and really build things with them (I say this because I enjoyed building things with them while playing with my daughter :) ).
