The listing, Vintage Red Coach Penny Pocket Bag has ended.

Beautiful vintage Coach cross body purse. Coach tag attached and I have posted the SN. Vintage purses stated that they were made in the United States. I think this is from the 1970s but don't quote me on that. This measures a little over 9 inches wide and slightly more than 6 inches tall. This isn't a very wide purse with a main compartment, another pocket under the flap, and a back open pocket. The hardware is brass. No major markings on the leather other than from use. The shoulder drop is about 20 inches. Please note in the phots of the purse closure, the hardware on the inside broke and thus the catch is not too secure that you may want to see about fixing it.

Do you think the Coach repair service could/ would fix it?

I'm not sure. I've never gone through Coach regarding repairs.

They do offer the lifetime warranty, however, you may need the original receipt. A shoe repair shop would do the same thing for probably 20 - 30.00

I have that purse and I bought it in 1981 or 1982. Coach used to have free service for fixing their purses, but they don't anymore. That doesn't seem like a difficult fix, though.
