If you wrap it tightly in Cling Wrap it will stay polished. Also putting one of those moisture absorbers inside would help.

I love this Auction. However I have no need or place for this fantastic item. I'm commenting just for information. I may not be spelling it correctly. But this is NOT a dragon. It is a Fuo Dog. I used to live on Guam as a child. I remember these figures. People over there would display them to keep away evil spirits. Just thought you may enjoy the information. Thanks

Is the silver the color of the metal or is it the metal silver? Sometimes a metal other than silver, but more malleable was used on jade. Just wondering.

I am not sure....i shined it before the pictures..over a month of sitting on my desk....
its not shiny like the pictures..The lid is more yellow then silver ..so...I'm not sure of the metal

Is that oriental writing on bottom ? Or do you know the name of artist ? Was trying to see if it by curiousity and chance is a Satzuma which would make it a 1950's oriental artist and this piece very collectable ....either way this is a gorgeous piece lucky to have in anyone's collection :)

Recognize the marking on this piece. I don't know the name or anything about them but have several artistic pottery pieces with the same mark. Whoever they are they make quality artistic one of a kind pieces. This is a wonderful piece was I could bid on it.
