Because it does cost more to ship priority international flat rate envelopes rather then the standard flat rate envelopes. if you would have done your home work you would see that customs declarations also have to be prepared and placed on the envelopes also and the international envelopes cannot be tracked there either,so it costs me more for the flat rate international envelope!

Hello regarding the shipping to the US, it will cost the same as shipping within Canada, as long as your items are 13 oz and under. A bracelet, ring etc would cost no more than a couple of dollars max. For more information go to Canada Post online. If you have a scale and are able to weigh your items that will be helpful for heavier items. You just punch in the postal code for the US address, the size of the box and weight and it will show you choices in shipping. I joined near the end of September and have learned alot. Many of the US members should be shipping to Canada as well because it is easier than they think. It would cost they the same for small items just as long as they are 13 oz and under.

Ok? i know how much it actually costs to ship to canada and this person isnt allowing for the charge for the customs forms you have to place on the packages. i have shipped alot throughout the years and no a package that costs me 2.71 to ship here in the u.s. will not still cost me the same 2.71 to ship it to canada as they do not use the same priority tracking system that we have so i intern have to use a priority internationally envelope to ship with and the post office charges more for those. so i am well aware that it does cost more to ship internationally then in the u.s. this is not good information and i did not ask for it. please do not comment on my auction with information that was not asked for or is not actual facts! the international shipping packages cost more then the standard shipping packages period. you cannot walk int the post office on monday morning and take say a flat rate 4.95 envelope add delivery confirmation to it and end up paying the 5.65 that i pay here for the us and send the same sized flat rate international envelope with tracking(which you cannot track in canada) and have it cost 5.65 it cost you 7.95 so that in fact is not the same price. i only ship priority mail and will only ship priority flat rate mail unless i know it is a first class standard item that will only cost me 2.71 to ship with the tracking.thank you but next time please be fully informed.

This is a very nice auction! It's unfortunate that the shipping to canada is causing sooo much trouble... I find that it's more expensive for me to ship to the US than the other way around...

not for me as I always use the flat rate priority envelopes so all the U.S. packaging costs exactly the same for me unless I choose to ship 1st class for my small jewelry packaages which run me about 2.71 with the delivery confirmation. For the Canadian shipping I am also using the flat rate International priority packaging also except there is no tracking other then the customs forms for them ,that is why it costs more because the U.S.P.S. charges more for the flat rate International packaging. Simple
