Individual Chinese wisteria flowers are like pea flowers. They hang in magnificent 6 to 12 inch violet-blue clusters along the vines. Emerging in mid-May before the leaves come out, they all blossom simultaneously on each cluster. They last for 4 to 5 weeks in spring. They are mildly fragrant.

This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds
Average Water Needs; Water regularly; do not overwater
Self-sows freely; deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings next season.Or collect seeds pods before they burst.

Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: None required
Germination: Sow seed 1/4 inch deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed.
If Refrigerated seeds, can be stored for up to a year before use..
