Description
The listing, ##WOW## HUGE TEARDROP SHAPED BLUE STONE IN SILVER SETTING has ended.
This is a very BEAUTIFUL piece. It is 3/4 x 1 in. The silver looks to have a marking on it, but i can't read what it is. As you can see it is a pretty big size. The 1st picture of it is taken between a dollar piece and a quarter. The 2nd picture is of it on its side by a quarter. The blue is very pretty. What a wonderful gift for Christmas.
Questions & Comments
O_o you're being kind of rude about it. Maybe I won't bid, if you're going to be rude?? o_o
that person is wrong- its very unlikely at least, because mystic topaz is more of a dark green with iridescent purple. I have purchased several Mystic Topaz loose stones in the past, and I am a jewelry artisan. That may be a type of topaz, but not mystic topaz.
ok maybe just my eyes, but it looks torn in the back?? that is not possible is it? it just looks funny. I have been having so trouble with my comp. Oh nooooooo don't tell me my box is going haywire!!! yikes. Let me know. Now I'm affraid to ask. LOL
Your "Blue Stone" is actually called a Mystic Topaz. A Mystic Topaz is a clear topaz that has been coated in the back with titanium. It is the titanium that brings out the brilliant colour.
Will you ship Free to Canada too? The shipping will cost the same as shipping within the US.
Also the topaz is glued in with jewellers glue or crazy glue. My topaz fell out, and I have to glue it back in place. Notice there are no clasps holding the topaz in place? That is because it is glued in. The winner should always check to make sure their topaz is secure. This is a beautiful stone, but mystic topaz takes some care. Anyway just some more useful information that I hope is of help to whoever wins it. Good luck
I am sure it is a Mystic Topaz as I mentioned to your earlier in the comments. I own a large pendant myself, I gave one to my mother for her birthday, and I sold many pendants and earrings that are mystic topaz. There is no doubt it is a Mystic Topaz. Good luck with your auction.
Are we all sure it's Mystic Topaz? It looks like Labradorite to me. Yes, I've worked with them for a long time, and have several pieces in jewelry, and spheres and loose gems. Watching, Fanned & bidding!!! .
Fanned & Watching Closely :) Please Fan Back? TY! Best Of Luck! Very Pretty! :) Your Friend, ALWAY'S! Susan xoxo.....<3 May I ask Where You Purchased So I have an Idea on if it's Stamped? Sterling? TY!; Again :)
You are welcome. I own and have sold many Mystic Topaz pendents/jewelry before so I have been educated on them. I would change your title to Mystic Topaz Pendant instead if you can. It just sounds better. Also Mystic Topaz should not be worn in chlorinated pools for example because it takes the titanium finish off in the back, or dulls it.
This stone didn't come out of the earth this way, only the clear topaz did, Then it was coated with the titanium finish.
Thanks for shipping to Canada. I will watch you pendant for sure.
