It depends high many times you wrap them around your ankles and how tight you want them and the size of your feet and ankles. The blue ones I'm wearing are for my feet. It is the style of this pattern which I make in different sizes which I specify on each auction. I'm sorry you don't like them. I've been crocheting for 36 years, I know what I'm doing.
