Thanks for answering the to the comment :-) and I see someone also let you in what the esn is :-) I always ask because the last phone I got I was unable to activate because the ESN wasnt clean, it can also be because of owed money to the phone company that was the problem I had with the one I got... but thank you will be watching for sure :-)

ESN is a number on the back usually under battery, if phone is reported stolen they go by that number and lock the phone up so no one can put it in thwir name or get it turned on.

Great listing, is the ESN clean and does this phone require a data plan, I really need to get my son a replacement phone his screen has broke and the contract dosnt end for another 8 months to be able to get him a free one, so this will be great!!! because I guess this is also free right :-))))

Im sorry but im not sure what an ESN is, but all i do know is that when i change from this phone to my new phone they switched all my info + number to the new phone leaving this one blank....like it was when i first got it. I had asked the guy who sold me my new one if i could give this one to my mom and put her number on it and he said yes, just bring it in. So im pretty confident that all you would have to do would be take it in to a verizon store and have them switch your sons number onto this one. I had a data plan, but im not sure if its a requirement. Check out the specs on Verizonwireless.com. =) hope this helps, if anyone knows of a way for me to check on the 'ESN' please let me know
