I had the same thoughts as Harmonyfb - because you listed it as local pick up only, I thought you wouldn't ship it anywhere at all.

I'm really sorry to bother you, but I'm still not sure if you'd ship to Canada or not (of course, I'd pay the shipping). Could you please let me know? Also, could you please let me know if you accept Paypal?

Thank you!

Thanks! I'm going to bid on it, for sure!! I'm like you...I have Paypal, but I've only ever used it to pay for things, not to receive money. I just looked it up on the Paypay site, though, and what I think it's saying is that if your bank account is connected to your Paypal account, the money will be deposited into your account.

I assume that that means that if you have a credit card attached to your Paypal account, the money would be put on your credit card....but I don't know that for sure.

Is there another way I could pay you for the shipping, that you'd prefer? I don't really know how else people pay for shipping....I've only ever used Paypal here on Listia, and on Ebay.

Thanks for the information about the Kobo! I'm sure you're totally right about that! That's one of the reasons I want a Kobo so much!

I'm not sure if this is right, but I've heard of Canadians buying the Kindle and having the same problem...fees, and content that's not available in Canada. I kind of wonder if Kobos are better for Canadians, and Kindles are better for Americans...

Badbob45810 - Well, as I said, I wasn't trying to be rude. So I hope you don't take it that way. I was just putting my opinon out there. I didn't mean to be rude.

I understand that you've had bad experiences shipping to Canada. But, I think it's a mistake to assume that because you had bad experiences, everyone will. My family all lives in the States, and I live here. We've been sending packages to each other for 16 years or something, and never had any bad experiences....

....we haven't experiences the double cost that you've had, and we've also never had any problems, as far as I remember, about delays or or anything.

Also, I've never had a problem with American/Canadian shipping on Ebay, either. And my aunt, who lives in the States, sells things on Ebay, and often ships to Canada with no problem, and no double the cost.

So, what I'm saying is that I believe you when you say that you've had shipping problems to Canada. But please don't assume that means that everyone will have those problems. In 16 years, I don't think I've had one of your problems.

And, yes, I understand that you were just trying to help her figure out how to get higher bids. I'm sorry that I misunderstood you, and though you were being bossy.

I'm sorry, I don't think you've gotten a chance to respond to the technical questions: What color is it? Does it come with all of its cords/cables/manuals/chargers, etc? Is it a touch screen reader? Does it have wi-fi? What is the storage capacity (how many MBs or GBs)? And does it accept/need a memory card?

I am not trying to tell her what to do., Just as a newbie she needs to get verified to get better bids. Also I have had a bad experience with every item I have tried to send to CANADA. And yes it has cost more than twice on every shipment. Mexico was more than triple. In fact there is a shipment over four months ago is still not there.

What I meant by my last comment is that if the seller wants to get "better verifed", or something, she'll do it, and if she doesn't want to do it, she won't. It's her choice. I just don't think anybody has the right to tell her how to run her Listia account.

Again, I'm not trying to be rude. Just gently putting my opinion out there.

I just wanted to correct some things that babob45810 said.

Yes, it generally does cost more to ship to Canada. But it also depends where you live in Canada. Shipping is all about distance. It cost more to ship something from one coast of the states to the other coast of the states, then it does to ship from, say, North Dakota to Saskatchewan, because they are so close. So it doesn't always cost more to ship to Canada.

Next, there are no "extra fees". There is just the shipping cost. And, even if there were extra fees, so what? I already agreed to pay the shipping, so it wouldn't cost the seller a thing.

And, yes, there is no gurantee I'd get it. But there's no iron-clad gurantee that another person in the states would get it, either. It is not riskier to send to Canada.

I'm not trying to be rude here, I'm just correcting this misinformation. Please don't spread misinformation about shipping to Canada. You're making it sound like it's expensive, full of fees, and somehow risky, and that's not true.

I also want to mention that I don't think it's your place to tell the seller what to do. If she wants to get "better verified", etc., she will.

First, get better verified. second show the real kobo. third in undate you can put all the answers in the comments to show this is real. unless you do this your bids will be low. and shipping to canada is nearly double what it is in the states. don't know what mystery dawn is saying but if you ship out side of the u.s. there are extra fees. lots of them. with no guarantees they will get it.

Thanks for letting me know about the money order. I'm going to bid on this, for sure, because I'm sure I we can work something out in terms of how I'd pay for the shipping if I won. :-) I can reserach Paypal some more, too.

Any chance you'd be willing to ship it if winner pays shipping?

Yes I will ship to Canada - I'm not sure how paypal works - I do have paypal but only to pay bills on - how does it work when receiving money? Another thing - all books come from Canada - erego since you live in Canada - there would be no foreign transaction fee.

All right. just a few more questions, sorry: what color is it? does it come with all of its cords/cables/manuals/chargers, etc? and is it a touch screen reader?

By Freebie I meant without credits. The shipping and insurance would be approximately $9.00

Well yes, I do think it's a freebie. This is Listia where you bid with credits and not money. I asked about the shipping because you have it as Local pick up only. What would shipping be to 14612 with insurance?

Oh, I was wondering the same thing! Is there any way you'd ship it to Canada, if I paid for the shipping? (I have Paypal). Thank you!

and also, could you describe it's condition (any scratches, does it come with cables, does everything work?) and maybe provide some technical specs (dimensions, storage capacity, functions, etc)? Please and thank you.

It is in perfect working condition - just out of the package. It does have a couple of books on it.
