Questions & Comments
I noticed after I placed bid that Paypal was not mentioned. I will continue to bid based on your feedback, but I don't like sending cash and purchasing a money order and mailing it makes shipping more than $3.50
I list my auctions at pretty low credits, while some others that are also asking for shipping have theirs higher. so far, i have gotten between 1-10 credits per item being sold that required shipping. and that isn't much.
I don't think the shipping costs are unreasonable I just like PP because it is immediate and more secure. and if item is not shipped I can get a refund on the shipping fee with no real hassle, Instead of having to wait until you receive payment and then mail I can just look for item sooner. ( Besides Listia suggests that you not send cash) I too have to request that the winner pay shipping on most of my listings, so I am not questioning that at all. ( with PP I can ship the same day auction ends) I'm just old and impatient. :) , but still plan to outbid others for this top if it comes to that.
I understand what your saying regarding paypal, but in my case if i was able to accept paypal, which i can't at this time it would still take time for me to send the item out, i would have to wait til the money comes through to have money on hand to ship it. I am disabled and do not have any other income coming in and my entire disability check goes to rent. So it would pretty much be the same on the timing of mailing a package. I go once a week to the post office due to having to walk there as well. Listia mentions it is not recommended, they don't prohibit cash or money orders being sent.
