My favouirte monopoly was the green coloured properties of Pacific, North Carolina and Pennsylvania Avenues. I would always trade Boardwalk or Park Place for a rights to the monopoly of green coloured properties. $3000 (green) vs $2000 (blue), $3950 (green total hotel rent) vs. $3500 (blue total hotel rent). 3 green properties vs 2 blue properties.

The odds are greater of landing the green coloured properties from the red or yellow coloured properties vs. landing on Boardwalk or Park Place from Pacific or North Carolina Avenue.

Seems like you really know your game and have put a lot of thought into it! I wonder if you ever played Risk or Battleship? Because it seems you have a talent for figuring out how to strategically place yourself at advantage to win! Thanks again for sharing that with us I appreciate it!

I always thought it was the luxury tax, it least it seemed like it happened to me a lot! Thanks for commenting and sharing that with us I appreciate it! Of course the most fought over & sought after would be none else than Boardwalk & Park Place!!

I have played Risk, Battleship and yes Stratego. I am a WWII expert that can teach a sophomore level class at a university on WWII.

Wow! That is amazing! I never was that good at Risk, Battleship or chess. I enjoy sitting and watching others play though, especially chess.

Chess is Persian and Indian in origin. You had a king, a vizier, two men on camels, two in horses, and two on elephants plus eight infantry soldiers. After going through a Christendom makeover, the queen replaced the vizier, bishops replaced the men on camels and castles replaced the men on elephants.

Only the horseman (knights), and the pawns didn't change.

That is very interesting indeed...I never knew that, or never even thought to find out how the game of chess even started. Thank you so much for sharing that with me I appreciate it very much. I answer , or try to answer trivia questions each day. I receive two a day in my email. It is good to try to keep the mind sharp and focused to learn something new. Thanks again!
