This looks like it would fit in a flat rate box which wouldn't cost more than 10 something. why is shipping $25?

The candle is 12'' x 6 and is very heavy. I already checked with post office and I will have to use the $19 + flat rate box due to the weight.

I agree with jesilyn73, why is shipping so much? If you're looking to make money off your candle work, just sell them on ebay.

I checked with post office. this is a very large candle and weighs about 7-8lbs that is what shipping with a flat rate box will cost me. I am not in need of money otherwise I would do ebay. Good Luck

I have been shipping from ebay, yardsellr and listia for years now and I have never seen a flat rate box that cost $19.00??? Even if so, the box is free so where does the other $6 come in? Priority Large Flat rate box is $14.95 and I am quite sure a candle would fit and the weight makes no difference in flat rate boxes. Even if you are going by weight it should not be $25!! I shipped a mounted deer head to California from texas for about $32. Was really interested until I had a heart attack at shipping fee.

Also wondering why you have not posted anything after you went to the post office and checked it out?? I know the large flat rate box is $14.95 and there is a medium flat rate box that is shaped like a shoe box and I am sure the candle would fit in that. Medium flat rate is even cheaper
