SCAM ALERT ... if you are bidding on a high-value item, like an ipod or other expensive electronic or jewelry item, particularly with a NEW seller, try this ... google the title and/or text of the item, then click on images -- you might see the SAME photos posted with an item for sale NOT on Listia!
The point is, YOU can do the same thing as the moderators ... google search for an item that seems too good to be true, click on "images" at the top of the google search page, and if it is a scam you'll find the same item being sold on ebay, craigslist, or possibly another web site--copied, unbeknownst to the REAL seller of the item, and posted on Listia.

I think this is a GREAT tip!

Listia simply can't prevent people from coming here and perpetuating scams like this. It's up to ALL of us to police this site ... the mods can't do it all (but they do a pretty good job!!! )
