Oh and btw.. I had a cat just like the one in your profile photo several years ago and her name was Sabrina.. I am kinda crazy cat guy I have been buying all kinds of cats toys for the cat and don`t even have the cat yet... So as you can tell my cat will be very spoiled... hahaha... My cat well when I get the new on will be just like the child I never had.. lol I`m still looking to find a just weened kitten to have again another cat in my life.. I can hardly wait to get one I am really hoping soon.. hahaha.. Well Sorry I just saw your cat and had to comment cause it reminded me of my old girl..
What it means is the stamp has it ever been used on an envelope before or is it brand new and it should still have the sticky on the back side that you can still lick.. So that is what people call mnh mint never hinged.. that is the short term for what I just said above.. your camera didn`t take a very good picture of the stamp to tell me if the stamp had been used and you can tell if it was used if it has the markings like the post office places thru them with their black or another color stamper.. So mnh you now know what that means..
On the envelope that it came in it doesnt say if the stamp is mint or not. But on the backside of the stamp, its glossy looking like it has a layer of glue on it. The stamp dont look used at all, but im not gonna say 100% that its mint.
Oh I wanted to let you know also that you can sometimes get more credits with keeping stamps with the piece of side paper left on there and leave them in what is called a block and that is by keeping 4 stamps together.. If you look at some of the other stamp auctions you will understand what I`m talking about better than me trying to tell you... Much easier to look then you have a view of what they like to keep stamps to get more credits..
Oh almost forgot another way to tell if it is a used stamp if it has dark writing stamped on it as well. So I kinda think this one might be used? or did you look at it better.. Just don`t lick it ... I would guess looking at other 4 blocks stamp auctions will help you learn the ways to list some of your stamps if you have them.. Then when you post them you can save yourself time by writing MNH and that will tell everyone what the stamp is so they don`t ask you questions like I am doing now..
Well I`m gonna bid anyways cause I have some other Vatican stamps that are mint that I`ve been starting to collect and I`m trying to collect more to get a page of them or more from the Vatican well or ones near the area.. I`m really surprised that you haven`t had more bids by now but, some people wait and bid at the last few seconds..
I think it is the feel of a power rush in most people to do that?? if you like just check out some of those other auctions and read some of them with sets of 4 stamps.. You will get a better understanding of later how to list more than 1 stamp per auction if your wanting to do that.. I know that is how I learned by watching the others till I figured it out and some I still don`t know that good yet.. I just don`t want someone to try to take advantage of you since you don`t know that much about stamps.. Just don`t let anyone pressure you to do a gin or to try to lower the days so they can get it themselves... I know some people like to try and boss others.. If some try to do that warn them and tell them that you will block them to stop.. Then they won`t bug you on any of your auctions again..
