This was a book we read in junior high. It is even stamped Meeker Jr. High. I paid the late fee because I couldn't find the book. My dad had book stashed.

It was written by John Howard Griffin a white novelist, who had his medically darkin, shaved his head to pass as a Black in the Deep South.

This book is about hate, fear and the hopelessness -- the country of the American Black man.
