I hear you. I try to start my auctions at a point that covers shipping. Most don't get that but those of us who spend lots of time do.

Look into things like flat rate envelopes and printing your own postage. Flat rate envelopes purchasing postage through PayPal costs $5.75 and the envelope is free and ships up to 70 pounds if it fits in the envelope.

I have had people complain because they want a $50 item for 2,000 credits with free shipping. ;)

I bought a bunch of yellow envelopes to ship with from Wal-mart...and they charge by the weight at the post office. I have already been under charging for most of the items I have shipped....and my auctions are being won with very low bids...

Walmart is way overpriced. So is going to the post office. If it is less than 1 pound you can use first class shipping through PayPal for around 2.07-3.50 and it includes free tracking. The post office can only give you first class shipping for less than 13 oz.

Using PayPal shipping saves around 37% on shipping costs. Flat rate envelopes are free at the post office.

Shipping was the hardest thing for me to figure out when it came to selling online. If you have a kitchen scale you can weigh your packages instead of getting a postage scale. Either way they both run around $10 and it can save you a fortune in shipping.

Thank you for that advice. I saw a top on here around the size I have listed clothing go for 150000 credits, and I put brand new nice clothes on here and practically gave them away. I order a lot of my clothes online and if they arrive and don't fit, I usually end up selling them but figured I'd try this instead...but wow, I am not getting the bids for some reason. I mail out my stuff right away and usually include bonus goodies too. I just can't do free shipping for a $40 or 50 item of clothing and only get a little bit of credits, ya know?

I am really disappointed at how low the bids have been for my clothing...when I have seen other similar items going for much more, so I have to charge shipping otherwise I am out shipping cost for barely any credits won it seems.

I do. Try gin and see how that goes. And just ignore the haters. I can't afford shipping right now but I will keep an eye on your stuff. If my eBay auctions bring me in some money I may be able to swing it. It's been a tough month. I have noticed that I have been getting my tail handed to me too.

Why do some GIN have only a GIN and other ones can be bid upon too? I started to do one the other day but then it said if the bids reached half the amount of the GIN, it would go away...and all this weirdness...LOL So, I opted out.
