is there a way to make sure they're not dried up? looks like they're sealed, so do you know how old they are? i only ask b/c i got mascara as an extra once and it was bone-dry. thanks :)

I will check into it. They are completely sealed, never been opened at all. There aren't even any tears in the plastic wrapping. They were given to me about 3 months ago, but I will see if I can find out when they were manufactured. If you know a way to find out, please do tell me. I also have a relative who deals with these regularly; I will try to find out the shelf-life too.

Searching online, I found that these products have a 3-4 year shelf-life if they are unopened, as these are. Also, cosmetics should be stored in a cool dry place, and these have been in an air-conditioned home since they were purchased. The general consensus was that mascara should be replaced every 3 months no matter what brand or age it is. (I don't use mascara, so I wouldn't know personally.)

All these mascara products are within that time frame (one is 2009, one is 2007,the rest are all 2008). The eyeliner is the only one that is older (2004). I imagine if any of these products would still be good past the date, the eyeliner would be the one. But again, I do not use these items myself, so I don't have personal experience.
